About Remy

Estimated age: 7 years
Gender: Male
Size: 15 lbs.
Location: Redwood City

Remy is a lovely looking senior pup with spunk in his soul. His favorite pass times can be sending pee mails around the block, so be prepared to take your time and enjoy the fresh breeze as he makes strides. He is still getting the hang of what a leash is, so patience will be important for his basic training and socialization. If you have a yard for him to trot around, then he will gladly explore it before coming back inside. He has been in a wonderful foster home who has provided us with plenty of great notes. Read below to see what his previous foster had to say!

He would benefit greatly from behavior classes with his adopter, providing positive human and canine interaction. He was slow to warm up to me at first, cowering and lowering his body onto the floor. He now loves to be petted and will initiate action to get his pets…He goes out in the side yard to go potty immediately before we go to bed and then again first thing in the morning. We also go outside multiple times during the day.He quickly mastered the doggy door and uses it during the day to explore the side yard and go potty. He has not pooped in the house at all...Remy likes to drag his crate pad and blankey around the room. He plays with larger plush squeaky toys and a nylon rope ball. He enjoys sitting at the front living room window, looking outside for any "action" passing by. He responds to "sit" for a treat. (He does the cutest begging motion with his front paws while standing on his hind legs.) The distant boom of fireworks at night caused him to cower and run around the room frantically. He ignores vacuum cleaner sound when it is operated near him. He loves to roll on the lawn and dig in the dirt.He enjoys chasing squirrels along the back fence and any birds that come to the back yard bird bath. Remy enthusiastically does "zoomies" around the back yard.”
