Our little diamond in the rough is looking for love! She can be a little shy at first when meeting new people and adjusting to a new environment, but who wouldn't be? Just grab some treats and she will try to snuggle up into you and dance around for attention. Jewel is the first one at the door when it's time to start the day and the last one to wish you well when you go for a grocery run to get her some goodies too, of course. And someone Jewel is never shy around is other pups. She loves playtime with other four-legged pals of similar size! She’s got the cutest little underbite and smile to go with it, it’s hard to resist!

Her foster home reported the following:

“She plays with our other dogs and loves to get attention from both of us. She also loves to eat! She is still wary of anyone who comes over but we try to win her over with treats…She LOVES her walks. She wants to be the lead dog, but she trots right along with her head and tail held high. She is ok being left alone although she does whine a little bit right after we leave. Unfortunately our own dogs sometimes will howl after we leave so they aren’t setting good example for her. We are working on that…Jewel takes at least 30 minutes to warm up to a new person. By that I mean, she won’t be barking and hiding next to the door! It took her several weeks before she was comfortable with us.”
